Shaun Of The Dead

After Night of the Living Dead (1968), the very first zombie movie from George A. Romero, Shaun Of The Dead (2004) is the best zombie movie ever made. the first sentence you read when you see the poster of this movie is "A Romantic Comedy, With Zombies !". this sentence describes everything from this movie. this is not an absolute romantic movie but the romantic theme is the of the 3 main themes of this movie. "Romantic | Comedy | Horror" are 3 main themes Of Shaun Of The Dead. Simon Pegg Appears in the leading role (as Shaun) and his best friend Nick Frost appears in the supporting role (as Ed). the IMDb tells the story of Shaun Of The Dead briefly:

Shaun is having many problems in life. His long-time girlfriend has dumped him due to their almost-daily expedition to Shaun's favorite pub, the Winchester. His temporary management job isn't going well at Foree Electronics, with his subordinates not even giving him the time of day. His deadbeat flatmates, Pete and Ed, are at each others' throats. And, oh yeah, London is overrun with multitudes of zombies. In the midst of this, he must save himself, Ed, his ex, his mom, and his precious record collection. There is a time when a hero must rise...from his couch.

Edgar Wright, the director of Shaun Of The Dead did his job so well and he brings us one of the best zombie ever made. Shaun Of The Dead placed in the top 250 movies Of IMDb #238, sometimes goes up and sometimes goes down and sometimes get out from the top 250 IMDb movies but it gained the best rating 8.0/10 and it's the best rating for a zombie movie. I know there are so many people out there who thinks the zombie movies are out of value to watch but i'm sure this movie isn't from those kind of movies. it makes you fear and laugh. the brightest thing in this movie is the performance of Simon Pegg. it is awesome.

after all Shaun Of The Dead is the most brilliant zombie movie ever made in the history of this genre. the movie you'll never forget.

The Cub Farm ! Fun At Your Office !

SketchDo you have some funny videos were taken in your office ? go to The Cube Farm, watch some funny office videos, laugh & enjoy, upload & let the others watch your funny video clips. The Cube Farm team describe theirselves by the following sentences:

Every morning you enter one of dozens of identical 6' x 6' boxes. Your work space consists of one beige desk, one beige computer and 3-1/2 beige walls. They're not complete walls. No, these are child-sized walls that form a "cubicle," which is Latin for "Privacy? Ha!" You are expected to be 97.5% productive despite the constant flow of office vagrants that swirl around your spacious quarters. The gossip hound, the office hottie, the loud talker, the technology-challenged boss, and so on. The only way to keep your sanity? Laugh at it all.

This site is your therapy . It's a giant noogie to the world of officedom. As an oasis of corporate mockery, we invite you to be an active part of it. Watch a clip. Share it with friends. And pitch your own idea for a video. With your help, this site will grow faster than grayish fuzz on a meat and/or jelly sandwich abandoned in the office fridge. So what's with the Plantronics logo? Somebody has to pay the bills, why not a company that makes wireless headsets for the office? Check 'em out. Their headsets are very comfortable with great sound quality (they made us say that). Just click the link that reads: OFFICE goodies. It may actually help you get away from beige once in a while.

you will find something really funny out there.

Travis : The Boy With No Name

After four years of no new songs, no new album, finally one of my All-Time favorite music band "Travis" released their new album "The Boy With No Name". members of Travis were at a long break through these years but still they had some performances like "Live 8" that held in 2005. for me Travis is a band who has a long history of music culture. a band with a wide open spirit of music who teaches the "NEW" bands. emotional, beautiful, superb & intelligent pieces stand in the visions of the four members of Travis, their visions to music & life. i was sure that Travis didn't spent their most of times in vacation. and i was sure that they wil return with something new and they will surprise their fans. "The Boy With No Name" came out on 7 May 2007 in UK and 8 May 2007 in US. the lead single "Closer" was released on 23 April 2007.

The sound of this album has some changes. all the instruments are the same as they used intheir previous albums but in the first listening to this album you'll find something changed in their music atmosphere. Fran Healy's voice has no dynamic parts in so many levels in songs. but still has the feeling you heared in his old songs such as "Sing" or "Love Will Come Through". as always Orchestral parts are included in so many parts of the songs and and you can hear them in the beautiful "Closer" and the Unforgetable "My Eyes". this album is so dynamic. from Britpop to Rock & Roll Themes, from downtempo / emotional songs to pure Rock feeling are all included in the theme of this album, the most important thing they had through these years in their songs. but ! all tracks of "The Boy With No Name" come from a similar atmosphere and workmanship. Travis has no fear to experience the levels of music.

"The Boy With No Name" is an album that you will never forget that. since their "Invisible Band" album on 2001, i think this is their first music experience with the most successful points in the music, lyrics and band personality. "The Boy With No Name" shows Travis in their highest attitude. this album recieved so many positive reviews from the critics. with "The Boy With No Name" Travis enters to a new dimension of their music realm and they take their fans to their newest world of music.

at the end i should tell you about my one of my friend who said : "Fran Healy had no lyrics to put in the chorus of "My Eyes" and because of it he sings Yeah Yeah Yeah !." i had no answer to him. some days after he called me and say : "hey boy ! "My Eyes" is awesome. it's the most beautiful song i've heared through these days ! the chorus of the this song blows my mind !"

God Bless You Travis. thanks for your big surprise for your fans...

The Architect And His Exhibition

Last night I recieved an invitation to an exhibition that held in Atashzad Art Gallery. the exhibition of Mr. Rahim Vaezi, the father of my close friend Shirin, who is an architect / engineer and he is a painter too. when i arrived to the gallery i was shocked because i had wrong idea. i thought that it was an exhibition about archtiecture or something. i knew he is an architect but truly i had wrong ideas about that exhibition. i thought maybe he wanted to show some modern / artistic architectural plans but when i arrived and watched his artworks i found an answer, "hey boy you thought wrong !" more than 30 watercolor images were on the white walls of Atashzad Gallery and all of those beautiful artworks were showing the clean, bland spirit of an architect who wanted to find some silent places, serenity and everything's beauty that we can't find in this city of smoke and pain ! i'm not a fan of watercolor but when i watched that artworks i found something really beautiful that i (or maybe all of us) have lost them. yes this is the beauty & bland world that Mr. Rahim Vaezi tries to imagine.

this exhibition's informations:
10 May - 16 May 2007
Atashzad Art Gallery
No. 43, Tavanir (Abbaspour) St., Valiasr Ave.

Icky Thump

The Legendary "Garage Rock / Blues Rock / Indie Rock !" band from Detroit, Michigan, The White Stripes finally released the first single from their upcoming album "Icky Thump". the self-titled single from the album "Icky Thump" released in April 26 2007 in US and finally released through iTunes in some days ago.

the first thing i said when i heard the song was "WoW !" or "What Da F**K ?" or something. hell yes, The White Stripes returns with a masterpiece / beautiful single. the sound is still in the vein of The White Stripes style and still shows their unique style of music. grungy, fuzzy guitar sounds with the screamy voice of Jack White. drums sound reminds you the drums parts of the song "Seven Army Nation". you can hear so many Organ solos through this 4':17'' song. the Organ solos that remind you the 60's 70's bands and it remind me some The Animals old stuffs. the lyrics of this song is available in their official homepage. Jack White produced this song. this single has three versions. White Vinyle 7", Standard 7" and CD single.

Tracklist:
White vinyl 7" 1. "Icky Thump" 2. "Etching" (no audio)
Standard 7" 1. "Icky Thump" 2. "Baby Brother"
CD single 1. "Icky Thump" 2. "Catch Hell Blues"
some versions of this single has two tracks and both tracks are the same song. the 1st song is Icky Thump radio edited version and the 2nd song is the original version.

The White Stripes will release their sixth studio album with the same name "Icky Thump" on 18 June 2007. Warner Bros. Records will release this album in US and XL Recordings will release it in EU. don't miss this beautiful song. this is very recommended to all TWS fans and of course all rockers around.
